A Punishment for a Thief.
When Christina attempted to steal the beautiful chalice from the local church of the village of Oberndorf, the Duke of Raoche and his niece Lady Gretchen caught her in the act and then decided to leave the girl inside an abandoned barn in the village --which was being attacked by the malicious ghost of an evil witch, while they made off with the priceless treasure instead...
The Duke bound the girl to one of the inside barn posts and proceeded to gag her with his handkerchief...
The Duke of Raoche (talking to Christina): "Just wait until the ghost of that damned evil witch Sabrina Spellman gets here, and then you'll be sorry, you little thief!"
Lady Gretchen (talking aloud, taunting Christina): "Yes. Good little girls receive presents from Saint Nicholas on Christmas Eve. Bad little girls who steal valued treasure from churches get eaten by the ghosts of wicked witches."
The Duke makes sure the rope restraints around the girl are tightened securely...
The Duke (talking to Gretchen, who is offscreen): "Quick, let's take the chalice and leave before the witch gets here, niece."
Lady Gretchen (talking to her uncle and then addressing Christina): Right, uncle dear. Enjoy your last few minutes of life, you little ragamuffin. Ah, I can't think of a more fitting punishment for a thieving street rat."
A few minutes later...
Sabrina Spellman (talking to Salem aloud outside the barn where Christina is tied up) "I smell the blood of a little girl, Salem. A very bad little girl."
Salem (talking to Sabrina): " Oh, my favorite kind. Good. Let's get her. I'm hungry!"
Christina hears the voices of Sabrina Spellman and her cat familiar Salem talking outside of the barn and begins to panic...
Christina begins to let out muffled screams, but no one other than the ghost witch or her cat is there to hear her cries for help...
